With an injury suspension laden team so far this season, the Steelers as a whole are nowhere near what we would like them to be. The defense has given up a huge amount of yards, but it's mostly due to key injuries to the unit, as well as long periods on the field, and ineffectiveness if our offense missing key players throughout the year.

They're getting their fair share of turnovers and most importantly they're minimizing points. Offensively even though undermanned for most of the season, does not turn it over. Under the circumstances that they have faced, there is no way anyone could tell me that they would be 4-2 after 6 games.

In their 6 games, they've faced Brady, Flacco, Rivers and Palmer. Once again, when looking at an undermanned team, they were able to win 4 of 6 facing those quarterbacks. Their 2 losses are by a total of 10 points.

So while opponent's show their thunder throughout the game, with the Steelers they've shown that lightning can strike at any time and from many angles.

They've shown it vs New England with 500 yards of offense with no Bell or Bryant. They've shown it vs SF exploding for 43 points (with no Bell or Bryant). They've shown it vs Baltimore with Bell's diverse game. They've shown vs San Diego with Wheaton's 72 yard score. Now they've shown it again this week vs Arizona with Bryant's 88 yard score.

We all know that Ben runs this machine, and we can't imagine what it will look like when he gets back. However, when you have Bell, Brown, Bryant, Wheaton, and Hey Bey, if you can just get the ball in their hands, lightning can strike very quickly.

It's that 1 play quick strike ability that breaks team's backs. As witnessed today, we get shut down all game and BOOM! Game over!

Ben can't get back soon enough.
