I felt it was clean. The guy was running at Mitchell, and Harrison blocked him.

Too bad he'll get fined/suspended for it...

I love this play. It embodies what Harrison is about. He protects his teammates and he plays physical.

I like the play by Harrison, but it wasn't really necessary...

I watched it about 10 times. Loved it. I think he saw Mitchell was hurt and was just trying to keep the guy off him. What a beast.

Did the Cardinal player touch Mitchell before Harrison sent him into orbit? If not then Mitchell could still run it out or hand it off.

I doubt very much Harrison was "protecting" anyone. That's a bit of rose-colored glasses. What I do think happened, is Harrison knew he wasn't down by contact yet, and simply was trying to extend the play. It shouldn't have been a penalty unless (and I didn't listen closely for it) the hit came after the whistle, though I doubt it.

Considering he was hurt and could hardly stand up at the time, I think he was better off with the touchback.

But yes, I agree with the people above, there was nothing wrong with what Harrison did. If nobody touched Mitchell except his own man, it was still a live play. The receiver coming back toward Mitchell made it look like he was aware of that. The ref started to blow the play dead and signal for a touchback at the exact same moment Harrison was about to collide with the guy. It was just a block on a guy who didn't expect it. Fortunately, thanks to the Bryant play it made no difference, but I hope he doesn't get fined.

PhysicsThat's too funny! I hadn't heard the phrase Greek God for awhile.... reminds me of an old friend of mine that used to be a Competitive bodybuilder (took 2nd place for Mr.Ohio 1987). I hadn't seen him in years and ran into him (he was in his 40s then.) He said "Man! I used to look like a Greek God! Now I just look like an old Greek!" LMAO! The dude was hilarious!

He passed away a few years ago at the ripe old age of 49. Steriod abuse destroyed his body. Left 2 kids and a gorgeous wife in his wake...

I'm not sure from the video, but the ref was calling it a touchback.
