Ok,
So now we are on to Arizona. The main point of focus in this game is clearly Vick's lack of accuracy and ball security while being hit. This is a violent defense and their strength is the secondary. So what do we do?
Well, being that AB will be followed by Peterson, he will need to be moved around and at times put in motion. AB can beat any corner, but unlike Ben Vick's accuracy is much to be desired. If he is the least bit inaccurate throwing at Peterson, it will be picked. AB absolutely needs to be involved though. Moving him around and maybe throwing him some hook and stop and go routes can give him a chance to make plays in space. We've seen his 39 yard gain against Carolina on a 5 yard pass.
We need to give them a good amount of different looks.
I think that they should give Vick more plays rolling out of the pocket. I feel this can be effective for him with a 2 back, 3 wide side set. Bell and Williams will be able to chip rushers to give Vick more time, or spring him if nothing is there. It will also give Vick 2 check down options. We can also run out of this set.
We will need variations of 1 back, 1 TE, and 3 wide sets. If the riskier throws to the WR's are not there, he can check down to Bell or Heath.
We also need to run 1 back, 4 wide formations. Of course we can run out of this formation, but Bell would also be an extra receiving threat. We need to run this set a good amount of times. Reason being is that the deep ball is Vick's strength. I feel we need at least 4 deep shots to a combination of Hey Bey and Bryant. Hey Bey has been playing too well to sit, and I feel that Hey Bey and Bryant are the X factors in this game.
Taking at least that many deep shots will back the safeties out of the box to defend Bell. I believe they will probably have a single high safety look though.
They can also use wildcat formations with Bell, Vick, and Williams in short yardage situations.
Defensively:
Sit Blake and start Boykin (LOL)
All I can say for them to really clean up is the miss tackles.
They need to start wrapping up and drive through the tackle.
I can only say for Butler to continue to stay aggressive and bring the heat on Palmer.
They did much better last week by staying in the running lanes in run containment.
What do you guys think?
