The Pittsburgh Steelers officially waived kicker Garrett Hartley from injured reserve yesterday after he suffered a significant hamstring injury late in the preseason, a couple of weeks into his tenure as the replacement for Shaun Suisham, the team’s kicker for the last several seasons who tore his ACL in the Hall of Fame game.

I like this kid. Maybe that sentiment will change next week, lol, but I thought he handled the pressure very well.

Not to be a buzz-kill, but the kid made one kick. Let's see how he handles a few 40+ yard FGs in Heinz field before we praise him

Yes he did a nice job against the chargers and, hopefully he can come through when called upon. Plus we all know that Heinz field is one of the toughest place to kick.

So he is already an upgrade over the last one!! No, really I am just hoping he won't miss the easy ones and we don't put him in the position to win/lose the game for us for the rest of this year.

you heard it here first, Boswell is going to go down as the greatest kicker in Steelers history.

unless he doesn't, in which case I didn't say it...

Well, let's see how he does in Heinz with the wind swirling around.

I like the strength that we saw in his leg with the deep kickoffs and easy make of the 47 yard FG.

Might make Suisham and his big contract expendable. Accurate AND huge leg thus far. Dont make me eat my words Boz

Superb game. Now what happens when he misses a FG? Will the witch hunt begin again?

That's be interesting. He does seem to have a bigger leg than Squeezeme. More importantly, as far as I'm concerned, his name is easier to spell. :chuckle:

I grew up in the NW, so the Seahawks were my second favorite team. I'm going to finish going bald if we have another "Boz" on a team I have to root for!

He needs a new name. Boz is taken and it is not a compliment.

Wasn't Boswell the Charlies' Angels go between? The Angels saw Boswell, but never saw Charlie.

I've been calling him Bozo. I have to say, I did not expect anything like this from him. What is with all the scrubs coming out of the woodwork and suddenly playing like All-Pros? The past two weeks have been a completely upside-down transformation.

sorry scratch that, maybe not necessarily a big leg, although this field goals have been clearing very high.

1/7 on touchbacks this week. seems my brain was stuck in last week

He looks 12. Fuck... I'm old.

And on the camera angle after, it looked as though he probably had another two or three yards of clearance. That puts his limit (today, at least) at about 53-54 yards. I'll take it. Especially at Hines Field.
