There are too many to list different threads on each of them, but from what I have read so far:

Shazier is expected to play against Arizona (we will need him)

Allen is being evaluated (we need him too)

Nothing on McCullers (hopefully he can play)

Nothing on Ben, although I highly doubt he will be in (hoping for next week against the Chiefs) but he may take some limited snaps in practice this week which is encouraging. He will need to learn how to protect his knee and test his lateral movement before he is back to good enough to play.

No work in Bryant's knee injury, hopefully he will be available for next week also, could use him for sure.

I believe Tomlin said Allen is getting an MRI which tells me we won't see him for a couple of weeks.

I believe Ross Ventrone was injured also.

Doh, should we start looking for another Safety?

Allen was a big loss, as he's the only one who's halfway consistent in the defensive backfield.

I really, REALLY hope we get McCullers back. Not necessarily expecting the world of him, but parts of the second half were just painful to watch on defense. Every time the Chargers got the ball, we'd start out with our "B" team of McLendon and Cam Thomas up front, with Jones at OLB - and Tuitt, Heyward and Dupree sat on the bench. Then San Diego would march right down the field, and when they got to about our 40 or 50-yard line, we'd put Tuitt, Heyward and Dupree in, and we suddenly became effective again.

Dirty Dick and his other fake nose tackle friend nearly cost us the game, and the less we can use of both, the better. Forget all this bend-but-don't-break crap, or "but the defense was on the field too long" - if it wasn't for those two guys, the defense wouldn't have needed to bend, and it wouldn't have been on the field anywhere near as long. Screw both of them.

So I guess we can see what the reason holding Shark back really was next week I guess. I would love it if he played lights out, just to prove he belongs in the starting line-up . . . but after the stupidity on the punt coverage I have little hope that will happen. At least he should be able to tackle.

Not yet known. I'm thinking Shazam is out again.

Any truth to the rumor that Byron Leftwich is Shazier's personal trainer? :chuckle: :wink02:

Looks like WAllen and Shazier are out. JJ is questionable (when did he get hurt?) and CAllen is also questionable. Shark better be the spark he was supposed to be when he was drafted, it is his time to shine if he wants to make this team after his rookie contract is up.

I think Golden is going to get the start, not Shark.

Will Allen's injury worries me a lot more than Shazier's.

Spence and Vince Williams are adequate backups, I'm not convinced of that yet regarding Golden and Shark...

i agree, he was our best safety . . . I guess we need to draft a Safety next year . . .

I thought we should have addressed the safety position in this past draft, I was very surprised that we waited until the 7th round to draft one...

Agreed. Alot of depth behind Shazam. ST guys behind Will Allen and Mitchell.

Adam Illfelder @adamill
@Steelersdepot @Alex_Kozora what happens if Jarvis can't go? 3 man rotation for 2 OLB spots?

Alex Kozora ‏@Alex_Kozora
Jarvis' doesn't sound too serious. So think he goes. Deebo will play most snaps at ROLB. Chickillo active, too.
