Martavis Bryant didn't want to go into specifics on just about anything.


Not about his daily text messages with Ben Roethlisberger during Bryant's four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

Not about the three weeks Bryant spent in Houston during his suspension with ex-NBA coach and noted substance-abuse counselor John Lucas.


And not about whose idea it was — his or the Steelers — to seek outside counseling during Bryant's suspension.


Bryant, however, did make a promise — a specific promise.


“I am confident that it won't happen again,” Bryant told the Tribune-Review............

What won't happen? That he will stop smoking or won't get caught?

So he didn't say it wouldn't happen again. He's just confident it won't happen. Haha. We all know how players of today have a false sense of confidence.
