View Full Version : K Kai Forbath would be an excellent fit to replace Scobee

The Redskins released kicker Kai Forbath a couple weeks ago. Steelers should really consider signing him. Very reliable, he is the most accurate kicker in Redskins history. Only downside is that he doesn't have the best leg (his max is 50 yards) and he rarely kicks for a touchback. But he will make you kicks. He certainly won't lose the game for you like Scobee did.

They need to bring someone in for at least a tryout after that shitshow tonight.

Agreed. But I think Forbath would be what they're looking for. His career percentage for FG is 87%.

Yes, I think this may be the guy they bring in next week.

I am better than Scobee! Pick anyone else, he lost this game and could argue he lost us the first game also. Our kicker is the reason we have 2 losses.

If it wasn't for the stupid hall of fame game we wouldn't be in this situation. I think you could argue he lost his career tonight.

Sounds like Sushi, another former Washington kicker! :heh:

At Heinz Field you can't kick from 55 yds anyway.
The longest NFL kick was 52 yds by Jeff Reed, then in collegiate football we have 54 by Jarod Brown, and a 55 yarder this Preseason by Mason Crosby.

My 7 year old granddaughter got a ribbon this year on Field Day for kicking. I'm sure she'd sign for league minimum.

I don't think she would make the roster...but they should give her a try out...

He's on IR and not designated to return, so we couldn't activate him anyways.

Winning is about attitude and determination. They needed to have the confidence, the attitude, to call upon their best players in short yardage, Bell, Heath and even Williams. Instead they got cute with their decision making, essentially cowering in fear against the Ravens. Tomlin didn't have the guts to man-up with the heavy set package and win the physical battle. And now people want to hang it on a tinkle toe kicker. This loss all comes down to the distorted and confused mind of Mike Tomlin. The same Mike Tomlin who once promised us violent football now running a chickenshit show when it matters most. The heart of the game takes place on the line of scrimmage. And Tomlin betrayed the hearts of those men on both sides of the ball by playing moronic chickenshit football.
We got to make this kicker work. And he's got to have the guts to use him and to let him play his way through it like most professional level coaches would do.
The shit show is ALL on Tomlin.

Why not give him a shot? It can't be any worse than what we have going on now.

Didn't Washington cut this guy because he was terrible on kickoffs and they were tired of giving up field position past the 35 every time they kicked off?
