It's a mark of consistency. It's been over 2 years since he has really been totally stopped in a game

Well shouldn't your best WR have a reception in every game? 1 reception? I think Largent had the record, so why even keep track of that record?

What the hell is Grantland and who the eff is Bill Barnwell?

And for that matter, the streak itself isn't silly. The people tracking the streak are the ones who are silly.

No streak is "silly". It's just entertainment.

Consistency is good when it helps win Super Bowls. No doubt he is an excellent receiver and wants to go down in the books as one, if not the best. Jerry Rice or Lynn Swann or any of those were not so caught up in the personal numbers. Even Franco quit knowing if he played one more season he could have broken Jim Brown's records.

No...it's silly. It is a mark of consistency...but it is silly...

Helps my fantasy team though. So I'm good with the streak!!

It is pretty silly. It wasn't a record or even a goal for anyone until they started keeping track of it for Brown.

I'd say it would be a good mark of consistency if it happened naturally, but there have been a couple time they've gone out of their way to get him an extra catch or two just for the stats.

Not that he isn't incredibly consistent to begin with, but you don't need some silly streak to tell you that.

I do look forward to it every week...check the game day threads...I'm on top of it!

If Vick cannot keep the streak going then it will be put into its proper perspective as we stack losses.

Oh God...I didn't even think about if Vick can keep the streak alive...

30 bubble screens in a row, he'll get it.

Any sort of 'record' came from nowhere. Just a fun way to keep track of productivity. I kind of look at this like the consecutive games with a touchdown pass. Not relevant in any sort of way, but fun.
