Bart Scott was never cut or traded by Chip Kelly, but the CBS analyst is sure acting like he was.
Appearing Thursday on WFAN, Scott provided a scathing assessment of the Eagles coach, and openly admitted that he hopes Kelly loses every game.
“I’m rooting for the Jets,” Scott said, via NJ.com. “Not just because I played for the Jets, but because I love a good car crash. I love a good accident waiting to happen. You have one guy who thinks he’s the smartest guy in the world. Trust me, I played for Brian Billick, so I’m used to being around guys that believe that they’re really smart, and Brian was. But come on now, are you kidding me? This guy needs to figure out what time to get a protein shake because obviously he’s giving the protein shakes at the wrong time, with his scientists and stuff that he has back there, because his teams aren’t ready to play in the first half.”

Considering I'm surrounded by obnoxious Eagles fans where I live, that would be epically hilarious.

Seriously though, Chip Kelly has seemingly ruined what was, not even too long ago, a decent football team and has been enough of a douche during the process for former players to continue speaking out about it. Kind of ridiculous if you ask me.
Not that I really care about the Eagles, they can sink into oblivion for all I care. And Chip seems to be doing a good job at that so far.

Where do you live. I live outside Philly, so I have them as well...I feel your pain...

He apparently has and getting rid of Mathis, which I think was his last piece, was probably the biggest mistake. That OLine is terrible, Murray is terrible, Matthews can't catch a cold, he drops more than he catches and Sam Bradford has been shit as well. If they don't turn things around, Kelly may be back in the college ranks a little sooner than later...lol.

The way I see it is that you have teams that "follow the formula" like the Browns and Raiders who don't even sniff the playoffs. So what's wrong with a guy willing to go against the grain and do it a different way?
Many things are born from experimenting and failing. Nothing wrong with trying it "your way".

The Raiders have no formula or plan of any kind. Our GM is in far over his head. He covers his eyes and throws darts. It's pathetic.

I live about 2 hours north of Philly in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area.

Okay. I'm a little on the closer side but in between you and the city in Montgomery County.
I feel your pain though
The way Kelly went about dismantling the team and burning bridges is what is especially troubling for him. Anybody can experiment and fail, but he has been so wrong on a personal level that if things continue for the rest of the season you can be sure he will be fired right after the game in Week 16, if not sooner.

Agree. He came in from the college ranks got rid of DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, LeSean McCoy, Nick Foles, Mike Vick, Evan Mathis, a bunch of guys I'm probably forgetting to put "his players" in there and it's a major fail through two weeks. Granted it's only two weeks, but when Kelly had these guys, his team was decent and his offense was working.
Now his arrogance has led him to this point with "his players" and an 0-2 record. Had he kept a Corp group of players, over the three year period, this team might be rolling...it's not like he cleaned how with a group of scrubs, he rid himself of some major players...to bring in lesser players...

Kelly reminds me of Josh McDaniels in Denver.
I am glad that Tomlin has not a big ego as Kelly!

I doubt he will be fired. More than likely he discussed his strategy with the owner.
Also, there are teams that were good last year who are doing the same ole same ole that are 0 - 2 too so that means little.
Besides, any time things change you need to give it time before you give up on it. I'm rooting for the guy.

He had 3 seasons and was going in the right direction until he blew the team up...again, still plenty of time to turning around, but if it keeps digressing the way it has...he's lost his shot as far as I'm concerned.

Nope. Living in Denver, I had a front-row seat for the McDaniels train wreck. Kelly's tenure hasn't been anywhere near as bad as that shitshow.

Heading in that direction?
Both had an infatuation with Tebow...only Kelly smartened up...lol. So that's a 1 in the plus column for Chipper.
