Are we really going to try and make it all season with Josh Scobee? are there any other options out there?

He's not a bad kicker. He just hit a rough patch. I think he'll be fine. Same thing happened tomSuisham when he arrived in Pittsburgh. Maybe it's not as easy to kick here as people think?

The important thing is that Scobee not cost the Steelers a game.

If Scobee is bad as Jeff Reed in 2010, the Steelers will have to make a decision in mid-season

Did they actually change any rules since deflate gate that prohibit us from playing with our own balls ? Do we get to kick our own balls or do we all have to kick the NFL's balls?

(yes, this kind of wording never gets old for me)

Scobee is a very good kicker, he'll be fine.

his kickoffs have been great, they're giving the opposing team poor starting field position...

I'm not bumping this thread to call anyone out for thinking that getting Scobee was a good move. I didn't personally think about it that much one way or the other. Probably because I didn't do my own research about possible kickers. But if I did, I probably would have been fine with the Scobee deal too.

I'm just giving Iron Steeler props for being the guru on this one. :hatsoff:

no, we won't.

I think we'll end up signing a young kicker out of Rice named Chris Boswell.
