View Full Version : Jimmy Graham doesn’t seem happy with his role in Seattle’s offense

Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham caught one pass for 11 yards in Sunday night’s loss in Green Bay, and afterward he didn’t seem happy about it.
Graham avoided the media after the game, and Michael Silver of NFL Media, who tried and failed to get Graham to answer some questions, writes that Graham “clearly wasn’t thrilled.” Silver suspects that Graham didn’t want to talk to reporters because if he said what he really felt, he’d say something negative about what’s going on in Seattle’s offense.
After the Seahawks gave up a first-round draft pick and starting center Max Unger to acquire Graham in a trade with the Saints, it seemed that Seattle would make its passing game revolve around Graham. But in reality, Graham has been a non-factor. Through two games he has seven catches for 62 yards and one touchdown, putting him on pace to have his lowest statistical totals since his rookie year.
It’s only two games into the season and not time to overreact. Maybe Graham will turn things around and become the All-Pro in Seattle that he was in New Orleans. But so far, this trade isn’t looking like a great deal for the Seahawks.

Brees > Wilson
As if it weren't plainly obvious...

Well Jimmy, you're a Tight End. In a running offense, with a QB who is nowhere near as good as Drew Brees.

Squawking is as squawking does. Welcome to the Seahawks.

I think most people knew when Graham was going to Seattle that his role would be a shadow of its former self. I don't know why he didn't see that? Shouldn't be news to him...the Seahawks on the other hand...if they are going to trade for a weapon like Graham, you should probably think about using him as such...otherwise, they could've just traded for Matt Spaeth and saved themselves a couple draft picks and a little bit of money...maybe to pay Kam Chancellor...who by the way is laughing his ass off at the moment.

That middle of the Seahawks Secondary is one big, gaping hole.
Expect teams to attack intermediate-deep middle until Chancellor returns.
Take Sherman inside and it's Game over.

That team hasn't recovered from the Super Bowl loss and Pete Carroll thinking he can see the future. Nothing will be right until they get their defense straight. Graham is just a sideshow.
Looks like a different type, but same type of hole the Steelers occasionally dig themselves into whether it's a slow start to a game or a season. By Week 16 they might come up a game short of going to the playoffs. Odds are very much against them going back to the Super Bowl 3 straight years.

At least he didn't decide to go to the Seahawks. He was traded. DeMarco Murray on the other hand.....

Trade a first round pick and pay him double digits, then use him like a 5th round blocker nice

Kam returned today. 14-2 anyone?

Not to derail the thread more, but how good is Kam going to look when they are 7-2 after 9 games (which is easily possible with or without Kam) but ESPN will be all over that spin on the story...Kams going to come out looks like a champ here...

Russell Wilson is elite my ass. Funny how they are 0-2 when the defense and Beast Mode are struggling. Wilson ain't 10% the QB Big Ben is
