NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says he’s “very open” to changing his role in disciplining players. But don’t expect that to happen anytime soon.
Pittsburgh Steelers president Art Rooney II reiterated Thursday he expects any changes would be negotiated with the NFL Players Association as part of an extension of the collective bargaining agreement, which doesn’t expire until after the 2020 season, and there’s no sense of urgency among owners to rush what would be a complicated process.........

I'm sure the owners are praying for a quiet year. But, I'm sure the next scandal will be messed up again and the pressure will continue to build for change.

Wishful thinking? Yes.

I did not watch much of the 1st game. I may watch some of the Bills vs Pats* tomorrow in the hope of seeing some defense played, and played well, and maybe Marcia getting a spanking or two.
