When Martavis Bryant joined Le’Veon Bell on the suspended list late in training camp, it sparked a discussion about the Steelers offense. Which player would the Steelers miss more, their All-Pro running back or their second-year receiver who was poised for a breakout season?

If the first game against the New England Patriots was any indication, the Steelers miss the tall and speedy Bryant much more than they miss their versatile halfback who gained more than 2,200 yards from scrimmage in 2014............

I would help if Bey stopped reaching for the sideline before he makes the catch.

By "step up" hopefully DHB is working on his footwork and presence.

I actually wouldn't mind if they are forced to play Coates. More reps he gets, the quicker he will develop.

I'm with you there. I'd rather see him dress and play than DHB. Special teams couldn't be any worse with Coates on it...

Both had long catches today, although Brown stole the show

Both looked better than last week though...not looking good for Bryant after his contract is up...

I hope Bryant has sought out some help. It would be a real shame to smoke away a promising career.

I have a funny feeling he already did as far as wearing a Steelers uniform...

Possibly. I am hoping he turns it around this year and they re-evaluate. It is scary to think what this offense is going to be in 3-4 weeks when everyone is back (Pouncey later on).

Heyward-Bay actually looked like a 7th overall pick at times today. I hope he can be productive even after Bryant gets back.

Again, I agree with you. He's a huge asset for this team if he can keep his head on straight...but there's also a great chance he could be the next Josh Gordon. If he does appear to have his act together, I'd love for the Steelers to keep him...no doubt.

He may be finally washing the stink of the Raiders off of himself. Other than the foot fault last week, he's played very well so far. If he can keep it up the thought of trying to cover speedsters like him and Bryant, while keeping an eye on Brown is gonna give defensive coordinators nightmares.

Then add in Bell and Williams and play action passing. The only reason we don't score every possession will be because of a holding penalty on the OL.

No, wait for the arrogant play calling to return. I hope they don't get cocky and keep it simple, but history is on the side of bad play calls making a return.

They will call a double reverse bubble screen on 3rd and 45 on our own 5 yard line.

Not really. One catch compared a career of sub-par play? I'm still trying to get over how he didn't know he was out of bounds on the possible TD reception against the Patriots last week.
