Steelers defense must make quick adjustments in time to play 49ers

Only having 10 men on the field … twice.


Leaving Rob Gronkowski uncovered … twice.


Players running off and on the field late; the wrong personnel in the game at times; the miscommunication in the secondary; and what Patriots quarterback Tom Brady later called “chaos” when describing the Steelers defense are all fixable in the eyes of defensive coordinator Keith Butler.


It is fixable through practice, but the problem for Butler is that it has been difficult to get his best 11 players on the practice field to work out potential issues...........

Are players that unfamiliar with the game of football know knowing their position assignment or who they are supposed to cover? It might be a stretch to ask them to change cover options on a pick, but at least know your man.

They apparently didnt know during the first game . . . hopefully they will this game. I still don't know why a time out wasnt called to get things fixed, we left one in the first half!
