The Pittsburgh Steelers may have lost their first game of the season to the most loathed team in professional sports, but things could have gone a whole lot worse. Pittsburgh’s defense was a shell of its former glory under Dick LeBeau and they often failed to deliver in the red zone yet in the single […]

As much as I hate the Ravens, I can't rejoyce at the season ending injury of one of their key players.
Just sayin'.

THIS, I just don't get one bit of joy over any player of any team suffering from a season-long injury. That dude is a beast.

Also, I wouldn't say this makes Pgh the favorite. The Bengals just clobbered a team, and we just lost and our D looks feeble. Suggs going down doesn't make us the favorites at this point.

I agree: I never wish an injury on anyone... except for Warren Sapp.

I disagree: the Raidahs are not equivalent to the Taperiots.

Losing Suggs takes away some of the fun in this rivalry.

One guy is not going to make or break the season unless it's the starting quarterback.

As far as the division goes, we've still got our own issues to deal with. It's not as if the next 15 games are going to be a cakewalk because some guy on another team got hurt. First let's worry about finishing better than 8-8 and then we'll see.

The chances of Big Ben getting his nosed punched off his face again just went down drastically.

Last I looked the Bengals were the only unbeaten team and Flacco is lost without his long lob ball targets, we have a chance

oh - buh-bye

Never said they were the equivalent of the Pats, but you will see: Raiders will be improved this year and Bengals beat the crap out of them.

Suggs and Gnata gone. Those two losses give Ben a much better chance of keeping his nose done the middle of his face.

Horseface historically has good games against the Steelers, so I won't miss him in that regard, but you never want to wish injuries on anyone. Except maybe Tommy, but of course he's special. :chuckle:

Judging purely on week one, Cincinnati would be the favorite.

If we could wave a magic wand and bring Pouncey back at the price of a healthy Suggs who among us wouldn't do it in half a heart beat?
But it doesn't work that way. Injuries are part of the game. Got to play the hand your dealt.
