The Pittsburgh Steelers went into the Patriots game as a rather healthy team and, despite a couple of new injuries, they'll take the 10-day break to heal before hosting the 49ers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/pittsburgh-steelers) were relatively healthy heading into their Week 1 game against the New England Patriots (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/new-england-patriots), and they left Foxborough in nearly the same shape as they arrived. After the game, head coach Mike Tomlin noted only two injuries: a hamstring injury to Sean Spence (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/155200/sean-spence) and a potential concussion for safety Will Allen (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/1787/will-allen).


The hamstring injury to Spence impacts a position at which the Steelers might be the deepest, in terms of quality depth.........

The Will Allen injury scares me...

I don't even remember seeing Spence on the field. Did that happen early in the game?

Hopefully Allen gets better in time for the next game; otherwise I am concerned. At least our opponent has a QB who would have trouble hitting the ground if it was wide open.
