The Pittsburgh Steelers dropped their 2015 regular season opener 28-21 to the New England Patriots Thursday night and according to head coach Mike Tomlin, the coaching staff had problems communicating with each other on their headsets early on in the game.

“We were listening to the Patriots radio broadcast for the majority of the first half on our headsets,” Tomlin said after the game.
The head coach went on to say that that’s not the first time they have had problems communicating with each other when they play the Patriots in Foxboro.

“That’s always the case,” he said.

Tomlin went on to say that they alerted the officials on the sideline and let them handle things. It should also be noted that Tomlin never blamed the problems on the Patriots specifically.

Patriots are the most hated team in sports and i said this earlier that the face of their franchise gaydy brady will suffer a career ending injury sometime this season and belicheat will retire after the season...imho this is whats gonna happen..all the other teams are fed up

Tomlin normally wouldn't speak out against something like that so I have to think that's there's definitely credence to it. I am so sick of these cheating mother f*ckers.

Plus their D was screaming signals at the goal line to confuse our OL which got the penalty. I thought that was illegal too?

Haters gonna hate. Y'all is just jellus.

Seriously, the balls on these guys. Absolutely mind blowing. Somehow they have arranged it that if you complain about anything at all regarding the Patriots, you're just a jealous, whiny bitch, so they can just keep on keeping on. Pretty neat trick, actually - talk about having your cake and eating it too. How did that happen anyway?

ETA

Steelers filing a formal complaint, per WDVE radio with guest Bob Labriola (or is it Mike Pruccioto? Both have nice deep voices).

No one is saying we lost because of headphone trouble/interference. As I see it, people are just tired of the Pats bending the rules to the point of breaking - even when it's not necessary - and nothing ever seems to come of it. It's become a real meme when it comes to New England and, as I said earlier, if you say anything about it you are deemed a whiny loser.

Adam Schefter - the Steelers will NOT file a formal complaint with the league.

Pittsburgh is not the only team who has complained about this. Why does the NFL just let this continue?

Well, that's a big point: These things don't just happen in NE; they happen in Pgh too, so..........................not sure what everyone screaming has to say about that.

Outcoached by a mile. Not prepared, but they were. I thought last night made it look like the Steelers have the better players. But, it doesn't matter when your coach can offer nothing but the 1,000 mile stare. And let's be clear - "malfunctioning headsets" happen in Pgh too.

Excellent article in today's New York Post concerning this. I can't link it because I'm at a hotel in Franklin Ky with my notebook and I don't have a mouse to paste the link. But is someone would do so I think you would find it worthwhile.

He didn't whine about the headsets causing the loss. Watch the interview again. I'm glad he got pissed about it. These Cheats** get away with everything.

Tomlin has his flaws but "whining" ain't one of them. His last name isn't Harbaugh.

And for those of you wanting to wash Bellicheat's balls, you are in the wrong place.

At this points we should just dub the Patriots era from 2000 to whenever Bellicheat retires Patriotgate

It's flaunting treachery on national tv. I will laugh my ass off too when they have a tragedy.
