What???

That's dumb! One series, that's enough!

Even better, bubble wrap the entire 1st string offense for the rest of preseason! We can't afford any more injuries to our only elite unit.

Almost every team plays at least one half.If you're rusty to start the season, it's not better!

I'd rather see Ben rusty than on crutches! It's obvious the first string O is just fine.

Throw Vick to the dogs with the 2nd teamers and see if he can play, it's why we got him!

This is retarded. Ben doesn't need ANY work. Why risk it? I really have to wonder if this staff isn't lost with decisions like this.

It's just moronic. If someone gets hurt we will get to hear Tomlin say some mother f----g cliche. F this.

You mean Brady, Rogers and Manning will play through 3 quarters too?

The offense will not play in the 3rd quarter if they play well.

If it's awful like last year against the Eagles, it's possible ....

Tomlin Stresses Need For “Fanatical” Conditioning

Just because he's prepared to play into the 3rd doesn't mean he will...

I would give him a quarter and then send him to the sidelines.

Exactly. I wouldn't run Vick out there longer than necessary either; there's no way he knows enough of the offense yet for extended action with the second-teamers to do him much good.

This is a situation tailor-made for some hapless stooge to eat up minutes so the real QBs don't get hurt. Landry Jones, this is your time to shine!

He has looked lights out sensational so far. We don't need to risk him any more than we have to. With Senquez, M. Bryant, Pouncey, Tuitt, and Bell all missing some time I really don't think we can afford another setback. If anything happens to our trio (Ben/Bell/Brown) I'm going to go ape sh*t

Should we bump the 'FIRE TOMLIN' thread now or wait? :chuckle:

Now see, that's just common sense.

And yet college teams don't play a single preseason game and they have no problems.

With Bell, Pouncey, and Bryant already slated to miss time, I'd keep Ben and AB on the sideline for the final 2 preseason games.

Ayep

You wonder what's coming next, with the starters slated to see significant action Saturday in Buffalo against a rambunctious defense.

At this rate, Mike Vick will be throwing to Randy Moss when the season opens Sept. 10 in Foxborough

if I'm Mike Tomlin, I'm approaching the rest of the ridiculous preseason with one goal in mind: keep my offensive stars healthy. I'm changing my plan to extensively use Roethlisberger, Bell and Antonio Brown on Saturday.

What possibly could be gained by giving Brown or Bell even one more touch before Sept. 10?

The Killer B's don't need the reps. Don't let them play a snap before it matters

So much for Roethlisberger "playing into the 3rd quarter." He took even fewer snaps against Buffalo than he did against Green Bay.

People (one in particular) flipping their shit over nothing...

Rather see that than 50 threads about how he shouldn't have been in there since he got injured. He's in shape and ready to go...enough with him in the games.
