Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin did his best to keep the 37-year-old James Harrison off the practice field and out of pads during the first two weeks of training camp, but he has made his impact felt ever since putting the jersey back on earlier this week, and we saw that manifest itself last night in the form of a textbook, vintage strip sack ............

so....hard...to...stop...being ...negative...oh what the hell

If he was the example, they sure didn't follow it.

Pretty sad when the only impact play by the defense all night is a rush a by 37 yr old James Harrison to strip a ball from a statue at QB.

Bud and Jarvis were getting rag-dolled all night. Moats made some plays with the scrubs, he and Harrison should be our starting OLB's....yep

Well yeah - I shouldn't say much about Bud, I hope he develops into something - I keep hoping one of our 1st rd picks on defense will become a star again.

Remember Casey Hampton? Boy do we miss him. 2 years and we've not found anyone close to replacing him. No wonder the defense is so weak. You can't run a 3-4 with the D line getting blown back into the secondary on runs, and they can't move an O-line an inch.

The Steelers also had better players all around during that time. The loss of Aaron Smith hurt more than the loss of Hampton.

I would say the losses of Aaron Smith and Big Snack both hurt...

I love these blinders people put on concerning Harrison.

Look, I loved the strip sack as much as anyone, but to trumpet that just after a RB made him look like a rookie DB trying to tackle Jerome Bettis is a little beyond reality. I'll admit that he did show what it means to make up for a mistake (he was too high on the RB trying to tackle him), but ignoring it completely is hometown journalism at its best (or worst).

I came home to find out that my boys received two trophies for nothing, participation trophies! While I am very proud of my boys for everything they do and will encourage them till the day I die, these trophies will be given back until they EARN a real trophy. I'm sorry I'm not sorry for believing that everything in life should be earned and I'm not about to raise two boys to be men by making them believe that they are entitled to something just because they tried their best...cause sometimes your best is not enough, and that should drive you to want to do better...not cry and whine until somebody gives you something to shut u up and keep you happy. ‪#‎harrisonfamilyvalues‬

I agree with James. Might be nice for kids 5 and under but after that? Earn it.

Good for James.

James held up one hand and said, "See this ring? I earned it". He held up his other hand and said, "No ring here...they don't give out Super Bowl participation rings. All we got was a long trip home"..

True story.

Yeah, but he would decline to visit himself if they won the Super Bowl. :chuckle:
