» It has long been assumed that quarterback Byron Leftwich will fill in for Ben Roethlisberger for the first month of the season. Now through three preseason games, that presumed starter has taken 45 snaps under center, with the number of reps declining each week. Leftwich says those low numbers are fine, even though the regular season is less than two weeks away. "They don't feel it is a problem; I don't feel that it is a problem," Leftwich said. "There are not a certain amount of plays I need to play on Thursday to get me right." Leftwich has completed 9-of-20 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown during the preseason.
