Don’t go all Snoop Dogg after this line:

If the Steelers put up big numbers for the second consecutive year, Todd Haley will be in the conversation for NFL head coaching jobs in 2015.

The image rehab is in full swing for Haley, who has Ben Roethlisberger playing the best football of his career and the Steelers primed for another offensive explosion. He seems at ease with his position in life, a departure from the steely coach walking Kansas City's sidelines that looked like he just wanted to go home and eat chips.

Yes, the Chiefs breakup was ugly, including friction with Scott Pioli and a 19-27 record (though he wasn’t exactly in a thriving work environment)

Yes, he sort of has that know-it-all rep, which some teams might want to avoid.

But as one NFL personnel official pointed out, teams have noticed growth in Haley. “I think people are watching his ability to get along and adapt now,” the official said. “I don’t think anyone questions his ability to coach or coordinate an offense.”

A perceived icy Haley-Roethlisberger relationship early on is now a successful one. And the way Bruce Gradkowski describes Haley behind the scenes, you’d think the Steelers coordinator was the world’s best church greeter.
