DeAngelo Williams is used to splitting carries.

Just don't call the Pittsburgh Steelers' running back a backup. The way the Carolina Panthers' career rushing leader sees it, there will be plenty of work to do alongside Steelers star Le'Veon Bell.

"I got a lot of tread left on the tires and I don't have as many miles," Williams said. "For those running backs, I feel bad for them, but I don't consider myself as one of those backs."............

He's definitely a back up to Bell, but if healthy and on another team, Williams is a starter and could carry the load. I always thought Carolina mismanaged their backfield situation with Newton, Stewart and Williams. Williams should've been the solid starter or let go so he could play somewhere else as a #1.

I think he'll be a pleasant surprise for some when he starts in place of Bell for the first two weeks.
