Dad let his son take too many hits during his tenure. You would have thought the adult would have been more concerned.

You could say Arians loved him...to death.

Ben was continuously peeling himself off the turf game after game, and never finished a season without at least one thing bothering him.

Why are these stories still getting play? He's been gone for almost 4 years now and they serve absolutely no purpose but to rile up the very large portion of the Nation that still hate his guts.

Obvious clickbait is obvious...

Bingo. And Brucie's track record with QB's in AZ speaks volumes. We wasn't run out of town because of his buddyship with Ben. It was to extend Ben's career.

I wonder what life would have been like if Arians had an O-line coach like Munchak. Would Ben still take an ass beating like he did?

I often wonder what would happen if Ben had Arians present him at his HoF induction? :chuckle:

Not really, because there will actually be some context for articles like this then. Besides, I'm not one of the many who are practically obsessed with their hatred of Arians and who are probably still pissed off because Roethlisberger actually has the "gall" to be friends with the guy. Those are the folks who will have to watch their blood pressure that week.

This story, and moreover, the timing of it makes it obviously clickbait for Steelers Depot since there really isn't much to write about at the moment. And they know damn well that not much else will get the yinzers frothing at the mouth quicker than a story about BA.

I kinda doubt it at this point - why would he give up that cushy studio gig for 100-hour weeks and zero job security again?
