Broncos wideout Emmanuel Sanders doesn't think the Patriots should be recognized as Super Bowl champions, and he let a group of young football camp-goers know it.
Per Mike Klis of 9News in Denver, Sanders was a speaker at the Ed McCaffrey football camp and was asked by a camper if he was upset about the deflated football scandal that rocked New England's title run.
The Patriots were fined $1 million and docked two draft picks. Tom Brady is currently appealing a four-game suspension by the league as well.
Sanders responded: "Am I mad about Deflategate? I feel like I'm on ESPN with that question. ...Yeah, yeah, I'm kind of mad. I don't think that they should be the Super Bowl champion this year.
"You aren't supposed to cheat. Cheating is not good, especially when you've got guys who are working they're butts off for 365 days out of the year and one person cheats -- whether it helps them win the Super Bowl or not, they still cheated and shouldn't be a champion."

I'm sure this will cause another thread with several hundred pages of whining on the Pats boards...

I like how they are now putting out pages of how every team "cheats".
Here is the Steelers:

Well, if it helps, I don't recognize a Super Bowl champion this year either, although I reached that conclusion about 30 seconds after the end of the conference championship games.

Next to the word salty in the dictionary is a picture of a bunch of patriots fans. I swear all those salty ass fans ever do is complain about other teams saying the pats cheated. They seriously coined a term for it called hategate.

Another favorite pastime of theirs is trawling the innerwebz looking for any slight (real or perceived) against the Patriots, Belicheat, Brady, et al. and bitching about it...

Yep if you say Brady or bellihick aren't the greatest of all time they call you a hater. Heck I saw some idiot call someone else a hater for suggesting that gronkowski wasn't the greatest tight end of all time.

Looks like the Pats ditto-heads have taken a short break from whining about Deflategate and how unfair it all is to circle-jerk over Brady once again... :jerkit:
Humility! It amazes me when I hear people claim that Brady is cocky and full of himself. Couldn't be farther from the truth. I've never seen a player who praises other teams more and puts fault on himself more then Brady.

There are so many contributing factors to the makeup of Tom Brady. First off, his parents did a remarkable job. He's an incredible combination of smarts, talent and humility. He's a great leader and also respects authority. To say we were lucky he ended up here is an understatement. Thank you Dick Rehbein and may you rest in peace.
Looking back on it all now, I truly feel as a sports fan that I've been blessed (as have some of you others) to have lived at a time when I could root for athletes from Ted Williams to Tom Brady and everyone in between. Like Russell, Bird, Pedro and Orr, to name just a few. I can't imagine how it could possibly get better for any other fans.

Give me a break. The guy does nothing but talk shit on the field. What's more, he cries like a prissy little bitch and screams at the refs for a flag every time he draws even the slightest contact.
And Bill Russell? Please. The same Bill Russell whose house was broken into by Boston "fans" who wrote racial epithets on his walls and shit on his bed? The '60s Celtics were never more than an afterthought in "progressive" (racist) Boston. Revisionist history much? :coffee:
I just watched the 2nd half of the superbowl for probably the 50th time. Tom Brady get handed the Lombardi trophy and gets asked a question by Dan Patrick about being down 10 in the 4th qtr. And his first response is to take fault in his own play. "Its not how we drew it up and throwing a couple of picks didn't help"
That's when he wins. When he loses? Well, then he runs to the locker room to pout and sics his surrogate mommy on people... :coffee:

Humility? He's probably the single biggest goddamn phony in the league. http://www.steelersuniverse.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes2.gif

Patriots fans were non-existent until about 1996 when Bill Parcells took them to the Super Bowl...

I went to high school with a Pats fan. 75-79. He was quite jealous of the Steelers at that time. I was happy that the Pats* finally improved for his sake, but then the scandals became public.
You know....the best part for me is that I never have to go on the defensive with those band wagon fans. I just smile and say..."There is absolutely zero question as to IF they cheated. The real question is how much did they cheat and for how long".

Yep. Even in the 70s when they had some good teams (esp the 76 team), they were silent. It's always been about the Red Sawks, Celtics, and even the Bruins. And I hate all of their teams. Even Boston College. Don't like any of them.

Just keeps getting better and better...
Hope you fellas had a happy fourth!
If you haven't heard by now, @ViperGTS and @Dr Pain and I came up with the idea of starting a group.
We've already put together a petition and Facebook page. Now we're trying to bring attention to some of the corrupt behavior by the NFL.
I've put together this online document, in presentation form, to let our supporters know specifically what our concerns are, and the 5 major questions we want answered about the League's involvement in the Deflation Controversy (click link below)
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1F-MhVHNcaNSjT_cV7owQP49vQKPJJS-lkNnWgXtk8Po/present#slide=id.gb5bea6a95_9_16
Fans United for Accountability (FUA) has produced this presentation because we have concerns about the National Football League (NFL) –– many concerns in fact, and not about footballs.
In recent months we have seen a disturbing pattern of behavior by League officials, including the selective enforcement of rules, the distorted disclosure of information, the concealment of key evidence, and efforts to mislead or otherwise manipulate the public. We feel that unless this behavior is investigated these actions will damage the integrity professional football.
Goodell destroying the evidence from Spygate, anyone?
In the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl XLIX, League officials pursued an investigation into allegations that New England Patriots may have improperly tampered with footballs. The manner in which this investigation was carried out concerns us. It is one thing to accuse a team of cheating, but when a multi-billion dollar industry resorts to falsifying evidence, then that becomes a cause for far greater –– one truly “more serious than just footballs.”
"Falsifying evidence?" How about that load of BS about "the Deflator" being a reference to some fat dude trying to lose weight? :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:
We want to clarify that we do not intend to promote any one particular team.
Suuuurrrre you don't... :coffee:
What does “accountability” mean to us? Accountability means taking a firm stance against corruption in sports. It means building better safeguards that protect fans, players, fans, and teams from unnecessary harms. Above all, accountability means looking beneath the distortions that keep us from knowing and responding to the facts.
How about holding your own team "accountable" when they play fast and loose with the rules? Multiple times? For YEARS on end? :coffee:
They really need to just stop already for their own sakes...

Hope the Pats* scandal is the catalyst that eventually brings Godell down. For the good of the game, Rodger has to be shown the door. Then the next commissioner can come in and deal with the corruption, starting with Kraft.
