Former Steelers linebacker James Farrior was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and All-Pro (2004, 2008) under Keith Butler when he was the team’s linebackers coach. Now that Butler is the team's defensive coordinator, Farrior is among those excited about what he is going to bring to the defense.

“He is an aggressive coach,” said Farrior. “Some coaches lay back and let athletes make plays. He is an aggressive coach and they will have some exciting things going on this year.”

Farrior doesn’t anticipate any type of major overhaul on the defense, but definitely thinks that Butler will put his own twist on things..........

I love me some Potsie! He will always be one of my favorite Steelers.

Potsie should be a coach somewhere.

I wonder if Potsie's comment concerning "sitting back and letting the athletes make plays" was in reference to LeBeau's style of coaching? Not trying to dog him, but it would be nice to see a more aggressive D overall.

Hopefully there will be more aggressiveness. Someone besides Harrison needs to step up.

There's so much speed on the D now, all they have to do is put it all together. I'm excited for the season to start.

I agree, with the speed this team has gotten (esp in the LB corps) we should be attacking a lot more in the future. Hopefully this helps our secondary. It all really depends on C Allen though, if he is even just average we should be fine.
