I looked through the jersey numbers the other day and predicted Golson and Grant's. I heard Dupree wasn't keen on 93 or 99 so I guess the equipment manager gave him 48. Which if you look at the roster is currently held by two other guys, including a long snapper. :chuckle:

Interestingly enough, though I assume Dupree will wait for a new one to open up, among the recent rule changes was the passing of the "Brian Bosworth" rule which allows linebackers to now wear numbers in the 40's. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/25/nfl-passes-brian-bosworth-rule-linebackers-can-now-wear-jerseys-numbered-40-49/

Sammie, Sweed's number was "retired". Don't wear that! :chuckle:

I'm not so sure about anybody wearing #24 so soon. It would have been cool if he had gotten 30.

Golson, Allen, Thomas, Grant... 27, 28, 29, 30

As it is, he's a part of the lower-20s clique:

Allen, Golden, Gay, Mirchell, Grant... 20, 21, 22, 23, 24

Dupree should be the first player to wear a non numbered jersey. Just add a cape and a championship belt.

I think that it'll be cool to see a 48 jersey out there... you know, beside during the preseason.

Just look at my avatar. That's my youngest wearing #48, with the broken arm. We just walked off the field after winning our league superbowl. 11-0.

That's interesting. I was a little puzzled about a linebacker wearing a number in the 40s, which I didn't think was allowed. I hadn't heard about that rule change yet.

It's a sign!!!

1. Dupree breaks his arm.

2. The Steelers not only win another Lombardi...

3. ...they go undefeated!!!

Dan Rooney considers Ike to be like one of his grandsons...

Woodson is the far better player, but Taylor is family.

I'd want James Harrison on the other side though. Then I won't have to worry about burglars.
