Scouts Inc. doesn't have him in their top 32:

then Scouts Inc needs to re-do their list, there's a very good chance Beasley goes in the Top 10...

That seems like a clerical error... as in: "Whoops, we forgot Beasley."

Regardless, I'll take any way, any how to get Beasley at 22.

Hope not. Every starting linebacker cannot be a first-round draft pick. In the short term, a disaster in terms of missed talent where we badly need it more. In the long term, a disaster financially by making our distribution of cap space into a cartoon.

We have Harrison back for one, maybe two more years - this is exactly the time when we can and should take a promising OLB in the middle rounds and let him learn while breaking him in with rotational play. We would be complete fools to draft any OLB first unless every passable defensive back is somehow off the board.

Agree with the point about DBs. But if Waynes, Peters, Collins, and Johnson are all gone at 22 and one of the top 5 edge guys is still on the board - I think you run to the podium to take the edge guy. Drop in talent is severe after that on the edge and not as bad at CB.

Also the payment thing is overblown. By the time you have to pay a 1st round LB from this class, Timmons is gone. Jones is likely signed to a either a team friendly deal due to lack of production or he is gone because he stinks. So that leaves Shazier to pay. Totally doable. Also Ben and AB are gone as well in 4 years (the amount of time before a "stud" edge rushers rookie deal would be over).

I would take Beasley in a New York Minute if he was still on the board....you don't pass up on a top five player if he falls to #22.

I don't envision a scenario where Beasley makes it past the Jets
