Can never find footage of it, but the play in the 2005 AFCCG where he fell backwards and tackled the RB for a loss on 3rd and short was quite possibly the most athletic play I've ever seen - before or since.

Hells yeah! That was another awesome play. Gawd, he was so great. I liked the announcer at the end saying, "And Joe Flacco could do nothing about it."

This. Troy had no business being in on that play. Yet he had the field awareness and balance/agility to keep himself in position. That is when I truly said, "Wow"

The pick-six to send us to the Super Bowl, just because of how important it was.

I love them all, and can only narrow it down to two:

1). The interception against San Diego (you know the one). This could also be known as the greatest interception in pro football history.

2). The interception in the AFCCG in 2008 that sent us to the SB (plus I was there). This was also the first Home AFCCG victory since the Colts in 1995.

My fave SHOULD have been the interception of Peyton Manning to get us to the 2005 AFC Championship game, but the damn ref screwed the pooch on the call.

That game against the Titans was one of the most individually dominant performances ever.

When he jumped over the line to stop Flacco on sneak late in one of the AFC championship games.

Troy had so many plays that are permanently seared into my brain, some seriously incredible stuff that we may never see again.

If I had to pick just one that legitimately made my jaw drop, it was the interception against San Diego. Just one of those things, I remember exactly where I was and what I was even wearing that game.

But man, that play against Carson was just crazy, how he picked it off to how he weaved through traffic and tackles to bulldoze Palmer at the goal line. Never seen a play like it since. And of course his interception of Bert in the AFC championship game to seal the win.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE how Kerry Collins looks around after that flying tackle like, "what the F just happened!?"

By the way, that interception in your avvy was every bit as impressive as Odell Beckham's catch that everyone's going gaga over.

I have always liked the play when Polamalu came flying from the secondary to hit Johnson(Titans) for a loss.

What do you think Chris Johnson is thinking there watching the whole thing...

BigNastyDefense

So many are engraved in my memory....

The interception return for a TD to seal our trip to SB 43

Him running through his college roommate Carson Palmer for a TD return on an INT

Him diving over Palmer for a TD return on an INT

Troy causing a critical fumble on a tomahawk chop of Flacco's arm, where I thought he broke Flacco's arm on that play

The fingertip pick against the Chargers

The one handed INT in the home opener against the Titans

His three sack game against the Texans

Tackling Chris Johnson in the backfield when I am pretty sure he was 20 yards deep at the snap of the ball

All those times he dove over the offensive line to stop a QB/RB on short yardage plays...and succeeded!

Polamalu was a once-in-a-lifetime player that I am so glad we as Steelers fans got to enjoy watching for most of the 12 years he played. IMO, he's the greatest safety to ever play the game. He should be a first ballot HoFer, and anyone that doesn't think so is a jagoff!

All the good ones were mentioned, so I'll mention this underrated one.

The 2005 AFC Championship vs Denver were Troy was blocked, but managed to keep his balance to make the tackle anyway. It was for a minimal gain, but it deserves special mention because it was so uncanny. No normal football player could ever make a play like that, then again, Troy wasn't normal.

Not sure if the footage exists, but he had an insane one-handed INT in the 2009 MNF opening vs. TEN that rivaled the 2005 AFC Div. Round reversed call, the infamous 2008 SD fingertip INT and the 2009 AFCCG INT.

That was the Original "Odell Beckham" catch if I'm not mistaken?
