Le'Veon Bell posted something about playing basketball. Not sure if it was just a pick up game or what. I'm a little worried he might hurt himself. Should the Steelers most versatile offensive weapon risk injury by playing basketball in the off season? Plenty of other ways to work out.

Can't live his life in a bubble. Plenty of more potential injury opportunities than basketball.

I bet alot of these guys have basketball courts (or other different sports) at their house. Ben probably thinks he could play for the NBA :chuckle:

It looks like he lost his gutchies because he has no ass.

That wasn't exactly what I was thinking when you said he was cliff diving, though. I wish he would dive off a cliff with no parachute. *Oops, did I say that out loud?* http://randomtopics.org/images/smilies/giggle%20girl.gif

Meh. He's playing basketball. There A LOT worse things he could be doing during the off-season...

That's good news. His knee must be doing well.

I was disappointed to learn that there was water at the bottom.

Gotta wonder if that may be why he's doing it, even. If he can cut, stop, run, pivot, etc. on a B-ball court now, he'll be fine come fall.

Sure I am concerned, but you can't put a leash on these guys. If I was in his shoes I wouldn't be playing, but that's just how I am.

Russell Wilson is out taking batting practice and ground balls with the Texas Rangers...imagine if he took a grounder to the face or a foul ball off his foot?

At least he's not skiing. That messes up more athletes.

Yeah, and he didn't even dive, he jumped. Probably held his nose when he hit the water, too. :chuckle:

It's basketball. He could get hurt, he could not.

He could fall down the steps of his home and tear his knee up that way. He could get in a car accident driving to the team facility for OTA's and get seriously injured. He could tear a muscle in the weight room.

He's allowed to live his life. It's not like he's skydiving or anything like that.

Yeah seriously, people. It's basketball, not smoking crack. My thought is, doing something athletic is better than most things he could be doing with his spare time.

You can't except the guy to put himself in a glass case every second he's not on a football field. Just don't do anything flat-out stupid and that's about all you can ask for. Hell, he could do nothing all offseason except eat health food and do safe workout routines, and then some guy would run over his foot in the grocery store parking lot and put him out for 8 weeks. At some point, it's just hoping you don't have extremely bad luck.
