As of 8 p.m. Wednesday, there had been 878,045 hits on the YouTube video of Baylor punter Daniel Sepulveda knocking North Texas return man Johnny Quinn into next week during a game in 2004.
I'm guessing Steelers safety Troy Polamalu accounted for No. 878,045.
"I'll have to go home and check it out," Polamalu said after practice earlier Wednesday. "Is it really that good?"
It's awesome, actually.

Check it out. I swear Sepulveda -- now the Steelers' punter -- will remind you of Polamalu. He raced down the field and -- like a blur -- launched his body into Quinn, knocking him backward.
"That was fun," Sepulveda said, grinning.

Ha. I remember watching this video, erm, "several" times when it was posted at SF just after drafting Sepulveda. It really is most impressive, and I'm glad he was able to relive the experience somewhat last weekend. If he hadn't, it would have been another 6 points for the Giants. He truly is not afraid to make (or take) a good hit - it's quite refreshing, after seeing some blatently ineffectual attempts at tackles made by people who obviously don't want any bodily contact, or are afraid of any chance of getting hurt. I think I'll go watch that video again - maybe I'll be number 878,046...

ETA - nope, I was number 878,245. Wow, he really flattens the guy, doesn't he? I had forgotten just how hard that hit was.

The dude always wanted to be a linebacker from what i understand. Tomlin wants guys that can switch positions, well on kick offs we have a linebacker kicking off now.The chances of a kickoff returned for 6 would be greatly reduced i would think. Nice move Mike Tomlin!!!!!!!
