I like Kevin Johnson, I think other than his frame he has all the skills to be the corner the Steelers need. However, I hate to be that guy but the Seahawks traded their 1st to the Saints for Jimmy Graham

We know Tackles are usually on the rise late, Is there one you think is worth taking if he falls to 22, or possibly trade back?

And good read! Always look forward to these

Great to see your yearly mock Perry.

Would imagine it has been a nightmare trying to factor in the dealings of free agency over the past week.

I agree 100% with your choice for the Raiders. Amari Cooper may be the more NFL ready receiver come the start of the season but I think Kevin White is going to be a stud for the next 10 years.

Nice effort Perry , props for going out on the limb this is a very tough year to call from my perspective

this year mocks are so very hard so many players so close to even , so many higher ranked players with major flaws in one area or another one strong in this area weak in another , one weak where other is strong and strong where he is weak ... what do you prefer comes into play as much this year as any other IMO

we have 17 players with a first round grade in ( according to my evals ) 15 guys in first round who have a 2nd round grade but they are the best of whats left ....

2 QBs slated to go in the first round and potentially top 10 or even top 5 and neither get a first round grade from me as I just do not see them as future franchise QBs , instead I see 1 bust and one Journeyman

I think we will have more WTF moments in this draft as any in recent memory as it unfolds ( for those looking at other peoples big boards and taking them as the gospel )

it will be an entertaining couple of days to say the least

is it here yet ??

One of my favorite tackles is this draft may be there when we pick...T.J. Clemmings of Pittsburgh. That being said, I think if we don't draft a CB we will draft on of the OLB's that may be available. I'd keep an eye on Alvin Dupree of Kentucky and Owamagbe Odighizuwa out of UCLA . I don't currently have Odighizuwa in the first round due to some medical concerns with his right hip (two surgeries). If he passes that red flag he is a legitimate first rounder.

Also would keep an eye on DE/OLB Danielle Hunter form LSU as a second rounder.

Totally agree with you on the QB situation. I personally wouldn't take any of them in the first round...but teams needing a starting QB will draft them with a hope and a prayer.
Good year for OLB's and WR's....and I think there are some underrated players in this draft. Kevin Johnson is a perfect example. VERY good cover corner who gets a slight due to his size...even though he is the same height as Trae Waynes and two pounds heavier.

as a side note ( not that he is a first round talent but ) Max Valles is a pass rusher we should all remember from this draft , not a ton of press but if he can add a few pounds ( and he has the frame at 6'5" ) he could be a force at OLB and at good value 9 sacks this past year at Virginia he gets over shadowed because of Harold but I believe he is every bit the player and perhaps more upside

9 sacks , 12.5 tfl , 3 ff , 1 fr, 8 pass def and 1 pick in 2014

Hmmmmm.....looking at late round prospects at OLB?

I don't know a lot about Valles but I do have a late rounder that I find VERY intriguing. Sage Harold out of James Madison. 73 Tackles 23.5 TFL 13.5 Sacks 6 FF 9 QB Hits 5 Pass Breakups. He is the nephew of prospect Eli Harold. Loved what tape I saw of him and he raised some eyebrows at his pro day. I believe he ran a 4.64 forty and had a really tight workout at OLB. Probably a 6th rounder who I TRULY believe can be solid.

not sure Valles fits the bill as " late round" prospect suspect middle rounds 2nd most sacks in ACC last year played at a big time program Virginia good article on him here http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2015/03/scouting-report-max-valles-deolb.html

Yea....personally I think they are projecting him a bit too high. I watched what tape I could find and he shows some obvious potential (but of course, much of what I could see is highlight tape). I like what I see in run support, though he seems to bite on deception....not sure if I think he can drop into coverage in the Pros. I still think 6th-FA pick.

I think you nailed it with Kevin Johnson

Johnson is legit. And the second round has several CBs worth watching.
