According to Schedter via Twitter:

@AdamSchefter: Now here's a fit that makes a ton of sense: former Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams is scheduled to visit the Steelers on Friday, per source.

Would not mind him as a back up to Bell...at all.

C'mon. You need to ask the question of any prospective RB to the Steelers....

Does he have Suddenness and Glide???

EDIT: Didn't know that DeAngelo played under the QB coach Randy Fichtner at Memphis.

On spot duty, he may not be bad. I'd rather have him in there than what's on the roster...although I'd also explore other options before...

I do not like his age, but not a bad option for a year or 2.

Ya'll gotta remember,

The nice thing about getting someone older is that he just may realize the best way to continue getting an NFL paycheck is to not be the starter, but be fresh and explosive in spot duty. It extends your career a decent amount. If that's what we get, someone who isn't going to whine about not being the starter but will be able to come in and take up the mantle when need be, then I'm all for it.

You are right, please! Not another Legarrete Blount

I would take Williams as a backup any day at this point. We don't need him to come in here and be a superstar.

Call me an old school stickler but this just pisses me off from a person that makes a living out of writing. It should be we're not were..
