Keenan Lewis practiced with the first-team at left cornerback today because Bryant McFadden was sidelined with a right pectoral muscle injury.

McFadden suffered the injury in the second quarter of Saturday night's win against the New York Giants while attempting to stop Ahmad Bradshaw's 9-yard touchdown run.

McFadden said his condition is "day-to-day" and he doesn't know if he will play in Sunday night's preseason game at Denver.....................

More Reps for Lewis I think he has alot to contribute to this team, could be a starter in a yr or 2

I love me some Lewis. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets the nod to start sometime this season.

Not happy McFadden is hurt, but this could be a good opportunity to see what Lewis has. Better now than in the regular season.

Hmm hoping for a quick recovery from Mcfadden, but as all above are saying this is Lewis's chance to truly shine and show the coaches and team what he brings to the table. Ride or die young one.

Not happy about this, but it seems to be nothing to worry about. Hopefully Keenan will step it up and play well this upcoming weekend. Who knows, maybe it's his time to shine. He's going to be on my top watch list for this upcoming weekend. I expect to see him play much longer after the first team is done.

Lewis should do fine with the number one team. I don't know if he will have enough to knock McFadden out of that spot or not but probably won't be long.

injuries are horrible to hear about, but this could be great news for the steelers secondary. i have never been impressed with mcfadden since he was drafted.

I'm sorry to hear that BMac is injured but as the majority here have said - it will be Lewis' chance to show the coaches what he's really got. I'm looking forward to scoping him out against the Broncs. Good luck young padawan!

I'm am real excited to see what Lewis can do against a 1st team offense but hope B-Mac's injury isn't too bad. I also wouldn't mind seeing Burnett and Butler play with the 1st team if possible.

So who takes Lewis' spot on ST this week?

I think it'll be either Gay or Butler.
