View Full Version : Le'Veon Bell on Mel Kiper: 'Dude be wrong with just about everything'

Bell took to Twitter to display his frustrations over pre-draft evaluations conducted by Mel Kiper, Todd McShay and Mike Mayock; suffice to say, Bell didn't agree.

After two seasons of professional football, Le'Veon Bell (http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/players/193405/le-veon-bell) already has a realistic argument as the game's best running back, hardly a bad scenario for a second round draft pick.

Apparently, Bell seems to have a pretty moderate chip on his shoulder, as his took to Twitter Tuesday night to express his displeasure in the pre-draft evaluations on him conducted by scouts:

No argument Bell is the best RB drafted in the last few years. However, Bell be needing to take some grammar lessons cuz how he be on Twitter makes me wish his flaws leaned more toward knocking his wife out or beating children. The Steelers should provide some youth guidance other than a playbook.

Given that Bell is facing suspension, I wish he would just shut it and lay low.

Yes I agree and I don't want him to think he has arrived. Let the chip stay on your shoulder for a long time. You still have many more years here hopefully continually proving the critics wrong.

I got no problem with Kiper or McShay. Their's is an inexact science. You're going to hit on some and miss on some. Overall I think they do their homework and give you an informed opinion. I can understand when players take an insufficient grade personally. Truth is LeVeon the coaches blew it on you too. That is unless you think you were the 47th best player in your draft class.

The only guy I will ever watch is Mayock. The other 2 don't impress me.

I've seen better draft analysis on this board than those guys. Much Better.

As far as He Shall Be Le'Veon, he needs to channel the anger on the field.

So much goes into whether or not a player is going to be successful that it's nearly impossible to judge a player.

A lot of times it obviously has to do with what team drafts that player and what "role" that player is given or how that player is brought up, used and developed.

It's all a feeling and a guess basically...lol.

Starkey: In defense of Mel Kiper Jr.

I admire Le'Veon Bell's drive. He loves to prove people wrong. He reminds me of a young LaMarr Woodley (before big money ruined him) the way he's been toting that giant chip on his shoulder pads since draft day.

Good for Bell.

But what was he thinking in his Twitter ambush of ESPN draft analysts Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay?

Continue to use your draft grade and report from Kiper and McShay as fuel, but don't talk about it.

Expressing your opinion is fine, but so is laying during a possible suspension.
