PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – Since cutting running back LeGarrette Blount, the Pittsburgh Steelers have been searching for a reliable running back to backup Pro Bowler Le’Veon Bell.

As CBS Sports NFL Writer Will Brinson points out (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25086785/sorting-the-sunday-pile-jaguars-have-plethora-of-options-in-2015-nfl-draft), there’s a free agent running back that he believes could make a lot of sense for the Steelers.

Former Detroit Lion Reggie Bush was cut by his old team last week and is now looking for a new home, and Brinson points out a number of reasons for why he believes Pittsburgh would be the ideal landing spot for the former No. 2 overall pick in the 2006 draft.

Brinson says he likes the idea of Bush as Bell’s backup and adds that if Bell misses any times, presuming he means for a potential suspension stemming from this (http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2015/02/12/report-leveon-bell-likely-to-be-suspended-for-2-games/), that Bush would be a nice replacement.

Please no. I would rather have Blount back.

Shane Vereen is a better fit.

Bush is not an every down back. He's a 3rd down back only. Yes, I'd rather have Vereen, who will also be cheaper.

Give me Roy Helu, Shane Vereen, Bilal Powell in that order of priority

As long as he is healthy, I'd take a look at Joe McKnight of the Chiefs, who can also return kicks.

Mark Ingram wants to be a starter. I could see him landing in Philadelphia with a slew of other free agents.

I actually see Reggie Bush landing with the Eagles.

I wouldn't hate the signing if we get him. Shane Vereen is another good one in my opinion.

With as much depth and talent in this year's draft at running back, I would rather see the Steelers draft a running back in the later rounds. It would be nice to have a younger back with little mileage.

Don't like either of them, can't pick up the pass rush. Need a bigger back like Tate or Pierre Thomas.

Why would the Eagles sign Bush when they already have Sproles? They're similar backs.

not sure if serious. bush has really honed his running style and ability since he came into the league. he's still made of glass though

Bush isn't an every down back. The Eagles need a main guy to pair up with Sproles, who's a great 3rd down back.

Bush has never come close to living up to the hype coming out of the draft.

Bush is not the best option out there. He is injured too often and is not an every down back

Not even Sweetness could have lived up to Reggie Bush's hype.

I don't see Reggie as a good use of cap room, though. We already have plenty of targets for Ben. We need to shore up the defense.
