Safety Ryan Clark (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/4301/ryan-clark), who made the NFL as an undrafted free agent and won a Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers (http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/pit/pittsburgh-steelers), announced his retirement Wednesday on ESPN's "NFL Live."

"I get an opportunity to retire as a Steeler, which is very important to me," Clark said on the ESPN set at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis. "To be able to play with some of the greats in Troy Polamalu (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/4474/troy-polamalu), James Harrison (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/4433/james-harrison), [James] Farrior, the opportunity to play with Sean Taylor and to do things I never dreamed of ... when I signed at LSU, I was just there to get an education. To have an opportunity to win a Super Bowl, play in another and play in a Pro Bowl, it's been amazing."........

He made the New York Giants as an undrafted rookie in 2002

Wow, I didn't know that.

He was the perfect complement to Troy. Glad he is retiring as a Steeler.

He was a favorite at training camp. Remember the year he was "Parking Lot Larry"?

Ryan was born to be a Steeler. Undrafted guy with chip on his shoulder, smart and loved to hit. Thank you for your many years in the black and gold.
