We don’t know yet how good the Steelers will be. There are concerns about whether Flozell Adams will get Byron Leftwich killed and a Troy Polamalu injury could take the season from promising to frustrating very quickly.
But two weeks into the preseason, it is pretty clear that the Steelers’ backups are better than the Lions’ and Giants’ backups. Watching and rewatching the Steelers’ second- and third-team offensive line gash the Giants defense helps to wipe away any of the heartburn that came from watching Adams’ struggles in pass blocking..............

That change in confidence and better play arrived about the same time new offensive line Coach Sean Kugler arrived. The mental aspects of the game that he was struggling with early on started to click. His confidence started to rise. The pieces of the puzzle began to fit.

Getting a new O-line coach was the biggest offseason move this team had.
Yeah they still need work but to me, the o-line has looked alot better. I'm hoping Hills makes the team and shines because we need him.

O-Line looked much better in the second game then the first and I think we have a lot of depth all around. If we can pull of 2-2 the first four games I think we will be in a good position to make a playoff run.

Redman is running like a man possessed.

I'm one of the biggest O line pimps, but I cant say that Kemo, Essex, Adams looked impressive at all, while Hartwig and Starks looked adequate. Its a long season and I hope our starting 5 improves.

Im just worried about Adams. He is an excellent run blocker and looks like a truck opening the holes, but he is a very sub par pass blocker with no speed and slow feet a player like Dwight Freeney would eat him alive all game, I think other than him and of course Hartwig the line is getting there.

the steelers need to instill some talent along the O-line. getting by on average linemen doesn't work. you need at least 2 good (or probowl caliber type) players, IMO.

i've only been able to see highlights of the preseason games and was wondering how Adams had been playing.
I saw some games during last season and Adams seemed to get blown away with alarming frequency!
Still,I'm sure the Steelers know what they're doing....I hope!

That's the reason the Cryboys released him, but I HOPE he does a better job in a Black & Gold uniform.

Pouncey will be a starter, you watch - just like I predicted.

I think if Pouncey has a good game this week he will be a starter. So far I have been impressed by his play. But this week will IMO be a real test. I am pulling for him.
