We are 100 miles east of the burg and 90 percent of the people I know are Steelers fans. I myself have been one for over 50 years and will be one until I die. Love Talking Steeler football and football in general and am looking forward to being an active member on the board.

What about Scranton and Allentown?

I grew up in Eastern PA about a half hour outside of Allentown, that is Eagles territory with a smattering of Steelers, Jets, and Giants. Allentown is far eastern PA. Don't know about Scranton, that is about an hour to an hour an a half west of Allentown, but still in the Eastern side of the state

What about Scranton and Allentown?

My dad is from the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area and grew up black and gold.

Welcome! I've lived in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area my whole life, decent amount of Steelers fans but mostly Eagles fans...it sucks.

Thank you venom, I love to visit your city. I want to take my granddaughters to see the Thanksgiving day parade. Would you recommend it?

No, split end. The shoes were always too big or too small and well worn by about 5 classes before. Like bricks with spikes on them. :chuckle:

Ohhh , I'm so sorry. I guess you didn't read about it. The Thanksgiving Day parade will never happen again. It has been cancelled until further notice. It was cancelled due to many tourist came and it caused a major riot that the National Guard had to be called in and over 500 people were arrested for Disorderly Conduct . Many New Yorkers , not me , hate tourist . They hate , not me again, when they walk in the streets looking up cause they never saw a building higher than 6 stories in their life thus causing massive pedestrian traffic to take a picture. New Yorkers also hate , like I said before, not me , when tourists are walking on the sidewalk and in a split second, stop in the middle of the sidewalk to take out their 4 foot by 6 foot map of New York City so you can't walk around them.

All kidding aside, Yes I would recommend it - Your granddaughters would love it. Should you ever go , make sure you get to the parade route early like 6:00am to get a great view of the balloons and entertainers ( and pray for good weather )
