He will still have to win his job in TC. The one thing I like about the new kid is the fact that about 45% of his kicks put the opposing team inside their 20 yard line. I would still like to see us sign a Punter as an UDFA. Then let the best man win.

Wing was a rookie last season. That would make him an exclusive rights free agent. If the Steelers put a minimum contract offer on the table, Wing had no choice but to sign it or not play football. Those are the rules. So, it costs the Steelers virtually nothing to bring him back. I doubt he is even on the list of top 51 contracts by the time the new season rolls around.
