They do? Who? Isn't Jarvis Jones the only OLB under contract from the 52-man squad? OLB is a huge problem.
You are right about needing DBs, but you need a pass rush too. IMO, Jones will probably be a bust, but I am still rooting for him to dispel that opinion.

Why not OLB in the 2nd or 3rd round. The defensive backfield across the board was a disaster last year, and Troy and Ike may (and should) be gone next year. Depth and talent is scarce. Also you talk about Jones as a bust, seems multiple people are saying Dupree is the same player that Jones is.

They will most likely BPA the position of need. Last year there were no CBs worth a 1st round pick when the Steelers were on the clock. Yes, the DBs are sub-par, but so is the pass rush.
The Steelers need a tackle(Beachum, Gilbert and Adams are mediocre), OLB, CB or a safety in the first round. BPA whichever position is available. I doubt a 1st-round tackle will fall to the Steelers.
I am not really pushing for Dupree.

I want the best player available that is going to help make this defense better. The secondary is obvious but who knows where the chips will fall.

Bottom line is they need to address both the LB-ing corp and the back end of the defense through both free agency and the draft.

As you already know, the problem is the Steelers will choose free agents on the bottom of the barrel. I hope they start hitting winners in the draft.
