Lance Moore (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/9400/lance-moore) ended one of the least productive and most frustrating seasons of his NFL career by watching the Pittsburgh Steelers (http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/pit/pittsburgh-steelers) lose to the Baltimore Ravens (http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/bal/baltimore-ravens) in an AFC wild-card game.

And the veteran wide receiver watched the game in street clothes.

Moore did not dress Saturday night -- the Steelers had to play an extra running back because of the injury to Le'Veon Bell (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/15825/le'veon-bell) -- and it proved to be fitting epitaph to his season.........

I really don't even know why they signed him since they rarely ever played him. I liked the signing but I didn't understand the lack of use.

Tomlin is horrible when it comes to position management. It's a similar thing with RBs and "riding them until the wheels fall off."

I figured he would have been a solid addition when he was signed but obviously Tomlin felt otherwise.

Justin Brown was a better blocker. Archer was a better decoy.

the forgotten man ... he got in the dog house and never did really find his way out .

not sure what put him there originally but the sideline blow up did not help matters any .... he never recovered or got going

id bail in a hurry if i were in his shoes. So many targets for Brown, Miller, Bell, Wheaton, and Bryant. What would be the point.

I wonder if he got along with Haley. But he was insurance in case wheaton and Bryant didn't pan out. Also his injury at the beginning of the season didn't help

Tomlin loves his pet projects.

I don't understand what the fuck we were doing with Moore. When he was on the field, he was effective. Then we'd do stuff like play him 5 snaps a game and then bench him for Darrius Heyward-Bey.

He was easily the third-best or fourth-best receiver on the team depending on what situation you're facing, but we treated him like a distant #6. Stupid personnel management.

I don't understand why he played so little. He was productive, I have to think he never got out of Tomlin's dog house. Pretty sad if that is so.

He now has a clear path to Arizona.

they dont need him .... he offers next to nothing there as they are set at top 3 wr spots just like us

back to N.O. is my guess they love recycling their own after a season or 2 hiatus at wr

And he didn't even fumble. If he did he probably would have been cut.

If we're smart, we'll keep him and use him ... One thing we were very fortunate about this year is that on offense, we had virtually no missed time due to injury for any key players or even role players. Until Bell hurt his knee in the last game, no one even put a foot wrong. I guarantee you that doesn't happen again, and then we'll wish we had someone like that available. Moore doesn't cost much and is under contract, so I don't see the problem unless it's stupid pride bullshit on Tomlin's part.

Agree 100%. Feel like he was a weapon that they just opted not to use.

We should indeed keep him. I remember a few years back we thought we were stocked at WR & LB, then the injuries came.

Gilbert ....... not that he holds much value IMO

I wasn't counting him or Adams ... they basically just traded off minor injuries and there wasn't a whole lot of difference. Even so, this had to be the most injury-free season for the offensive line in almost a decade.

Yeah I'd rather have James Harrison running pass patterns in the red zone than Lance Moore.

I'd rather have Martavis Bryant, Heath Miller, Markus Wheaton, Le'Veon Bell...oh yeah and Antonio Brown...almost forgot about that "no name"...Then maybe Lance Moore...you know, the guy that was behind Justin Brown on the depth chart...

Where was Bryant for 6 weeks? Apparently it took him 6 weeks to learn how to run down field.

Great coaching.

Unlike the previous OC who had Mike Wallace as the #3 WR the minute he walked through the door.

Where was Antonio Brown on the biggest 3rd down play of the 2013 season in Baltimore in the red zone?

On the bench.

Once again, great coaching by our OC.
