View Full Version : End of the line

hey guys and gals, i hate to spoil the mood but i dont feel good about this game. with or without bell. no way the steelers go 4-0 against the ravens. i would have preferred 8-8 compared to losing to them in the playoffs. i will be shocked if pittsburgh wins. that being said, i'll be very disappointed if they lose. i feel like this game is going to be one of those dumpster fires where the steelers cannot move the ball against an unimpressive ravens defense. i hate it. this saturday shall be the end of the line for one of the most exciting seasons in recent history.

Well Hell then, I guess we should just pack up and go home huh ? Look, Baltimore is ALWAYS going to be our main rivel. And games usually are tough. But all things being equal, we are better then they are. Yes a TO or a Big play or a bad call can change the tide and outcome of any game. But you cannot assume that before the game. And NO, I can easily say I would ALWAYS wanna play in early January at 11-5 then be 8-8 no matter what. Can't imagine any steeler fan who would disagree with that. Show some confidence Dude!! :tt03:

By your account, we should have got our a$$ kicked by Cinci then too. How'd that work out???

Your thread was END of the Line...that's not expecting LOW expectations, that's saying you have NO expectations. And that's NOT a True Steelers fans Attitude.

Um...yeah.

Listen, I'm not exactly overwhelmed with confidence, but I'm also not going to underestimate this team. Fans have done that all season long, and yet, they ended up winning their division when most fans wanted the entire franchise blown up after the losses to the Browns and Jets.

Let them play the game, and let the chips fall where they may.

Renegade, I feel you. But I also have a lot of hope. Losing Bell hurts and certainly puts a damper on things, but this team is more than one player. I think we're gonna see a classic dogfight but I believe we can beat, if not crush the Ravens.

they are not 4-0 vs bmore in the playoffs yet. they are 3-0. (27-10, 23-14, 31-24) i want them to win so badly.

I think PW86 was referring to the Steelers' current 4-game win streak.

Personally, I'm not nervous now, but I will be Saturday night.

Ravens pass rush and run D is pretty good. Its the swiss cheese secondary that ben is going to light up.

Actually its worse that swiss cheese. probably Limburger, that shit stinks

but who knows, y'all did lose to the jets and browns.

This is just poor logic at work. we're not 3-0, we're 0-0.
Each game is an individual, self- contained event. It is not influenced by previous outcomes and will not affect future outcomes.

Anything can happen it's a rivalry game (the best rivalry in all of football), and those are never predictable. I feel very confident in the fact that we have Ben and I have seen what Ben can do.

Don't know if any of this helps, but you need to try to get a different mind set.

Lady Steel you beat me to it but I could not agree more. Steeler Nation Remember this...

One turnover could spell the difference. Or it could be a blowout on either side. Or it could simply be a good ol' fashioned slobberknocker that ends up with a game-winning FG with 1:02 left on the clock.

That's why they play the game!

Hey, I agree with you!!!:chuckle:

C'mon man! You made the playoffs after almost everyone wrote the Steelers off. I sure wish my Raiders were looking at a possible one and done. Fuck the downer attitude..... start thinking about Kicking some Raven ass!

How's that for a non fan that really doesn't care which team wins??? If the Steelers end up beating the shit out the Ravens... you're welcome!

I'm always a little nervous before playoff games no different here. It's the best rivarly in football hands down and, I want the steelers to win so bad. I think the entire team has come together and, they are playing pretty well right now. Rats have been struggling the past few games and, I know that does mean much since it's wildcard weekend. I still say if the oline keeps Ben clean the steelers should win this game.

To me the bottom line is the "Cleveland Ravens " travel to the steel city for a game to move on toward an unthinkable 7 . Now that is some shit to ponder .

The only way prior outcomes will influence this game is if either team uses a game-plan that relies on tendencies that showed up in film study. Outside of that, it should be a low-scoring, tense, typical play-off affair between these two.

It will be interesting to see who emerges as the next Ravens killer for the Steelers. Recently it was Santonio Holmes on offense and Polamalu on defense. My guess is Bryant and I have a weird feeling about Shazier on defense.

New season. Everyone is 0-0. Pre-season means little. Pre-playoffs means a little more. We get to host a home game after a roller coaster season. All we have to do is win 1 game, the next game we play.

Heads down, grind it out and plow forward. Let's check the scoreboard after 60 minutes.

Here we go Steelers!!!!!!!

I'm not gonna beat up on Renegade for this thread. I'm gonna look at it like a reverse jinx thing.

I honestly wish we were playing the Chargers instead for a bunch of reasons. But we play whomever they put in front of us, and right now they are feeding us our most hated rivals. Maybe in some way that can work to our advantage by bringing out the real toughness in this team.

Remember, there's no better feeling than when Ben scrambles around and then throws daggers into their hearts. And there is nothing more deflating for the Ravens and their fans.

I agree sir. If for no other reason that the Charger players would still be at home, and who knows what kind of condition a lot of them will be in cause...San Diego is one of the better New Years Party spots in Southern California.
