The Steelers played only one game outside the Eastern Time zone this year.

That will change in 2015.

The Steelers will travel to Seattle, San Diego, Kansas City and St. Louis to go along with games against the Ravens, Bengals and Browns. They also also will play at New England.

It will be the first time the Steelers will play in Seattle since 2003. They will have home games against the Broncos, Raiders, Cardinals, 49ers and either the Colts, along with the Bengals, Ravens and Browns.

Some very tough teams on that list. Much tougher schedule than this season. You know everyone in Whine Country will be circling the Steelers game on their calendars, because it's their first meeting in Seattle since Super Bowl XL.

That's about to be expected after coming out in first place this year.

Of course, I'm not sure we can say anything about Seattle as "whine country" after reading half the posts around here anymore. Sadly, I think we're taking the title.

Nope, they still have the title firmly in hand...

No one is taking that title from Seattle. NO. ONE. I don't care how much Steelers fans complain (a lot of which is completely justified, I might add). When you are STILL crying about a Super Bowl that happened NINE YEARS AGO, and can't accept the fact that you lost the game, then yeah, you deserve being called "Whine Country".

Could have fooled me. Seven of our games this season happened at a time other than 1:00, and now we got a primetime playoff game.

Really irritating.

Definitely looks like a tougher schedule next year. The ticket to beating the Squawks at home is pounding the rock, I hope Bell's good and ready for that game!

I'm seriously tempted to go back and show step by step how we match up nicely. I mean, we still have posts whining about the call on Troy P. in the Colts games of that same year of playoffs. But, I'll refrain so I don't derail the thread.

Not for me. I love it since I'm in Arizona time. It means I actually get to watch the game. Especially when those games on usually played Sunday mornings at 10 AM our time. Also, late games with primetime audiences favor the Steelers tremendously—especially against the Ravens.

This is a brutal schedule, but this is the case for the rest of the AFC north(except for 2 games)

Really? About the only time I've ever seen it mentioned is in rebuttal to the claim that the refs handed us the SB that year.

I also didn't see any of our players whining about the refs on Twitter earlier this season when we were the most penalized team in the league. Unlike the Squawks, our team apparently looked in the mirror and have cleaned their play up considerably.

im looking forward to that seahawks game irregardless of whether it looks like an L or a W by the time it gets around. Very close to a match up between an unstoppable force (our offense) vs. an immovable object (seahawks defense). Richard Sherman vs. Antonio Brown will be interesting to watch (although since the seahawks keep their cornerbacks on one side im sure they wont be on each other the whole game)

Is it just me or do we always play the Patriots on their field? I'm too lazy to look up the past schedules.

Going to be a tough season but I remember when we played the toughest schedule a few years ago and won the Super Bowl. I prefer playing a tough schedule.

Seems like it, but we did host them recently and got creamed on our turf. The Broncos are another one. Can't remember the last time they played in Pittsburgh.

2006 for Denver

The Patriots played in Pittsburgh in 2010 and 2011

The last time the Pats played in Pittsburgh, the Steelers kicked their asses. I know, because I was at that game with Ed. I'm sure he remembers.

And that's probably the biggest miracle of the season. I still cringe every time I see a punt, however, because I just know there's going to be a penalty.

I was thinking the 2010 game where we lost 39-26, which was a complement to the Steelers because we scored in garbage time. I still remember Marsha on the sidelines, that even though the Pats* were up by like 3 TDs, he was still giving his players shit. First time I realized that Brady has a personal vendetta against the Steelers.

Well we all know that the Steeler's play according to the standard of their opponent. So, if they are faced with above par team's then they ought to play hard all season. May determine what our coaches/player's are made of and who needs improvement or replacement !

I remember winning a superbowl the year we had what was said to be the toughest schedule in the leagues. We lost to a couple of good teams that year. I think we lost to the Titans ( they stepped on our towel and later regretted it !), the Colts and the Giants. But we took care of business in the division and the rest is history.

From what I'm seeing out of this young team at this point, the sky is the limit.

Bring it.

I'm anticipating it will be their second. And both losses at that. If you get the drift. :wink02:

Having the stealers and cowsquirts in the playoffs every year equals a ton of revenue thru playoff swag sales due to their large bandwagon fanbases.

Sure, that's why we're playing in our first postseason in 3 years and the Cowboys are playing in their first in half a decade.

Bandwagon fanbase? Ironic, considering that I NEVER saw ANYONE wearing Squawks shit before they won the SB last year (not even when I still lived in Alaska) and now I see it ALL OVER THE PLACE.

I SO want the Steelers to meet these crybaby asshats in the Super Bowl and punch them in the fucking mouth. Hope they keep tooting their own horn over their recent 5-game win streak where the best QB they faced was Butt Fumble...

Sorry Craic, I don't see any of our fans blubbering about the refs preemptively BEFORE games... :coffee:

Eh . . . I prefer to see us meet Dallas for the fourth time and thump 'em. Growing up in the Northwest, the Seahawks have always had a very strong fanbase up there, and a very noisy one. As for people jumping on the bandwagon . . . that happens with every fanbase.
