To be honest, I'm surprised

I would not have thought that after the embarrassing loss against the browns in October, but they have been 8-2 since and they scored 436 points this year, which is a team record

I'm not as much. As I always say, don't make any assumptions about a team until after the sixth game, and then, let the next couple games start forming your opinion.

Not the championship we're striving for, but I'll take it for now!!

In the event we win the Super Bowl, I want our path to have looked like this:

Baltimore -> Denver -> New England -> Green Bay

Man up and be the best.

This is a rebuilding year. Another year of maturity for our O-line and our young guys... if we make the right offseason moves, this could be a very dangerous team next season. But hey, somehow, this one ain't over yet either.

dont forget Ben finally winning Superbowl MVP and getting more respect. That sure would be an epic path, albeit one game at a time

Oh yeah? Well, fu....lol!

Seriously, I have to say hats off to the Steelers. It looked early on like Cincinnati was simply going to run away with the division, then with a few games to go I thought the Ravens would win out against the Jags, Texans and Browns, and if Pittsburgh beat the Bengals in Week 17, Baltimore would win the AFCN. But the Steelers persevered through a tough middle stretch of the season and came up big at the end. So while I loathe them as a division rival and I hope Baltimore pounds them into oblivion Saturday, I have to say I respect them as a franchise.

Regardless, three AFCN teams in the post-season is quite a testament of how competitive this division is, and has been, for quite some time. Like the NFCS in reverse!

You're a class act, brother. I wish some of our new trolls around here would take a page from your book.

Substitute Seattle for Green Bay, and that's the path I want as well.

Unlike most of the newer posters, I go back to watching Marty Domres and Bert Jones try and try to get past Pittsburgh in the 70's with no success. They were some good Baltimore Colts teams, but not good enough. And baby.....THAT was real football back then!

You can hate and respect something at the same time, if it is worthy of both. And to me, the Steelers are worthy of both!

Oh dear Lord...not Seattle. I work with a "Bengals/Seahawks fan". While she was bummed about the Bengals losing, she's totally thrilled about "her Seahawks" winning. Nothing like picking a winner to validate your fanhood when your own team always lets you down.

The Steelers might not have a great shot at getting past the Patriots, but on a neutral field, on a good day, they can beat the Seahawks. Seattle's style of just beating the man in front of them doesn't work as well against Ben and Brown. I'm not saying it's a slam dunk, but they can't outscore us once we make a few of those unconventional plays.

But we really need Bell back.

Step one complete, make the playoffs.
Step two complete, win the division.
Step three, coming up Saturday night.

Congrats Steelers and coaches, looked bleak at times, but we are the 2014 AFC North Division Champions.
