And that's a wrap. Everyone else can gnash teeth and demand everyone be fired. I refuse to partake in it, and I'm not really keen about reading it either.
On to the off-season.
At least you get the Pens and Pirates to look forward to. All I care about is the Steelers. Oh, well. :chuckle:

That was a tough game, and honestly, the Ravens played better than I thought they would at a place they've been 0-3 in the playoffs. Losing Bell hurt, but I am surprised that Baltimore's offense played as well as it did with two rookies on the OL. No matter what, we still came in third in the AFCN.
Good luck to you all in the offseason.

As much as I hate the patriots I will definitely be pulling for them against the ravens and I hope the ravens get blown out!!
Probably won't - Brady folds like a cheap suit under pressure and the Ravens will bring it.

And they probably will, because Belicheat plans against a teams weaknesses.

I feel like 1976 all over again when they lost Rocky and Franco for the AFC championship game.

Thanks for staying up until early morning hours so you can spend some time with us. Here's to a good off-season and thanks for proving we have a great fan base around the world.
If you love something it not as hard to sacrifice some time, nerves and sleep for that. I jumped on the bandwagon and when i do that its for life. So once again, its been a great ride, but we still have some work to do. Stay positive and positive things will come our way. :drink:

I do apologize for my bitching throughout the season...I only wish the best for our team and NO im not for firing anybody. We just have to make some crucial decisions in the offseason. As much as I love Troy I do believe his career is over...many AWESOME memories with him!!

You are a good fan and a good contributor to this board. In spite of my pain, just wanted to throw in that you, and your honest perspective, are always welcome around here. And congrats to your team. You deserve to enjoy this and so do they. They beat a team that (I believe) is more talented than they are on the road. That is not an easy thing to do.

As much as I love Troy I do believe his career is over...many AWESOME memories with him!!I think Troy has one or two seasons left in him if he drops about 20 lbs in the offseason. That added weight really slowed him down this season and probably contributed to his injuries. I think I read where he was listed at 235.

Yes, if he trims down and plays more of a conventional style. However, time for Thomas or Golden to step in.

Thanks. I live in Silver Spring, MD, and I know a lot a Ravens fans who are classy people and also understand football as well. You represent your team well. Congrats to you and your Ravens...they were the better team tonight.
I think tonight's game will make the Steelers/Ravens rivalry more intense going forward. The Steelers can no longer say they own the Ravens in the playoffs.

Troy is a first ballot hall famer no doubt in my mind. Another thing though that hurt him this year is the lack of chemistry with mitchell which in my opinion is an awful safety. The chemistry he had with clark was underrated and not talked about much

These game days threads are largely vent threads. You've never gone after anyone personally, and that's what really matters. No apologies necessary. :drink:

I hope so. I hate but respect the Steelers. I simply loathe the Patriots and their fans. They are the most arrogant prick fans in any sport. I know the Marcia hates looking across the LOS and seeing Suggs staring him down. The Ravens have ended New England's postseason twice and beat Brady's ass. I'd love to see that again, even if it goes no farther than that.

Don't forget that Ryan Clark was pretty bad his first year in a Steelers uniform...

To tell you the truth, I don't show much passion for sports in general anymore. Except for Bob Nutting. Fuck that guy. Doesn't mean I don't still root for them to do well, though, or wouldn't be happy if they won a championship.

Wow. To tell you the truth, I should have expected this outcome. We relied on Bell too much. We need to have a number two RB that is a known commodity. The defense has been our downfall time and time again this season, and right when we think they've turned the corner, they did this. It was to be expected.
Coulda woulda shoulda. I knew we wouldn't beat Denver, but I just really wanted to beat these guys. A franchise that is all about success, has seen very little of it since 2010. It's painful. It really stings right now. I won't even lie, I shed a few tears. I live and die with this team and it was a rough way to go out. Ben only has so much time left. If they want him to win #7 for this organization, he needs a better team around him. Defensive changes have to be made. We love you Troy, and everything you've meant to us, but it's time to retire with some dignity. Mike Mitchell has to be better. I'm also not sure that Worilds is the answer. Aside from a game or two, he was hardly a factor. Personally, I say bring Deebo back one more year and let him continue to develop these young guys and possibly ride off into the sunset with a ring. Who knows.
Very upset right now. I haven't been a member long, but I enjoy this forum. You guys are great people and I fully intend on participating daily next season. It's been a hell of a ride, but now is the time to buckle up and make the necessary changes to bring a championship back to Pittsburgh.
