In today’s Post-Gazette, I wrote about how the Steelers are attempting to flip their script this season and win a Super Bowl with a top-rated offense and a lower-rated defense. It’s never been easier to move the ball on offense, especially through the air.
Teams are now getting to and winning Super Bowls with highly productive offenses and lower-ranked defenses. I included a chart to go with my story that illustrated the point. Here it is (the NFL total defense ranking in parentheses):
