Whatever concerns coach Mike Tomlin has after the Steelers' second preseason game, Ike Taylor's temperament should not be one of them.

That is what the veteran cornerback said Saturday night, a couple of hours after he got thrown out of the Steelers' 24-17 win against the Giants for fighting.

"I should know better," Taylor said. "I apologize to my teammates, apologize to my fans. I lost my cool, but it won't happen again."

I forgive you Ike. At least it's good to know that you're a competitor!

It's good to see players that fired up in preseason, but he knows better than that. Gotta be smarter than that Ike. Luckily, like Harrison said, this one doesn't count

Yeah, it was stupid...but at least he made that stupid mistake in the preseason. Hopefully it's out of his system now and he doesn't make the same stupid mistake in the regular season.

I can forgive it as long as he doesn't do it again when it matters.

Take one to the house this season, Ike, and we'll consider forgiving you. :heh:

Seriously - no problem Ike. We all have moments we wish we could take back. Move on from it and keep your head on straight in the future. :drink:

Nice uppercut

Keenan Lewis took over and got a concussion, didn't help him any.

how does getting into a fight and being kicked out of the game make anyone a competitor? he was tossed so he can no longer compete.

The terrible clock management at the end of the first half was even worse than the fight of Taylor for me.

Just don't let it happen in the regular or post season, Mr. Butterfingers.

Also next time you want to throw a punch maybe aim lower, hitting a guy in the helmet with your fist will only cause damage to you

Ike showed some heart and did it when it won't hurt the team. With that said it was still stupid.

As long as it doesn't happen during the regular season....

but I still can't condone hitting a guy with a helmet on

No big deal, things happen. Just don't let it happen again and play ball.
