Kelvin Beachum quietly goes about his business without fanfare.

Then again, he wouldn't have it any other way.

The Steelers' third-year left tackle has played well all season. Yet, his rise among the league's young linemen has gone relatively unnoticed, partly because of the play of the Big Three: quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Le'Veon Bell and receiver Antonio Brown.............

This kid had a good work ethic even before Munch got on the scene. For a 7th round pick, being among the top 12 at LT, even though he is "undersized" sure shows how much heart he has.

He may buy Colbert and Tomlin one more year to try and fix the defense. GENTLEMEN, WE NEED HELP IN THE SECONDARY.

Give me heart over physical attributes any day. *cough*Adams*cough*.

The reality is that Beachum lacks a lot of the ideal traits of a typical left tackle. His long legs and short torso give him a high center of gravity despite his relatively short stature for a starter at the position, and his upper-body strength has left a little to be desired. While he has continued to hone his craft as a pass blocker, showing continual improvement even from one game to the next, he has struggled at times against stronger defensive linemen as a run blocker. But, what he has lacked, physically, he has made up for with exceptional intelligence and hard work.

Lacked until now, at least...
