The Steelers have scored 30 points in a game seven times this season. It’s only the third time in franchise history they have accomplished that.

The team that stands between the Steelers and a playoff berth Sunday has not allowed 30 points in a game this season. When the Kansas City Chiefs visit Heinz Field they will be counting on their highly rated defense to keep the NFL’s top-rated offense in check.

Welp. That settles it. Score 6 byt he time we get to the 21 yard line or just kick a field goal and get it over with.

And the Steelers are ranked a poor 22nd by allowing 58.14% in the red zone. Over the last 3 games the Steelers are worse by allowing 77.78%. Also, the Steelers red zone defense is better on the road(50%) than at home(66.67%).

Note: The Chiefs are 2nd in the NFL in red zone scoring at 67.50%

This does not look good for the Steelers on Offense.

Therefore Ben will likely have another 5 touchdown game.

...and if he gets sacked 3 plays in a row and breaks his nose 6 touchdowns is virtually guaranteed.

The magic number of the Steelers this year is 27 points....When the Steelers score at least 27 points, they are 8-1 and their only lost was against the Saints when they scored 2 TD in garbage time

I can see our first few drives stalling in the red zone. They start slow pretty much every game.

The Steelers have actually gotten MUCH better in the red zone overall as the season has progressed. Over their last 3 games, they've scored TDs on 72% of their trips to the RZ and have scored TDs on 72% of their trips to the RZ at Heinz Field for the entire season so far (http://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/red-zone-scoring-pct).

We have talked all year about how important it was for the defense to gel.

Meanwhile our offense has quietly developed into a three headed beast.

Just waiting for that one defining game were everything clicks on both sides of the ball.

crickets....lol
