i was hoping he stopped using it. it leaves ball exposed, hinders his forward vision and stops his forward momentum. he had one play when he should have lowered his head/shoulders, but decided on a spin that got him nothing.

IMO, this spin has more cons than pros. i would like to see mendenhall attack.

He got out of that habit last year I don't know why he decided to do it again. I am not a big fan of the spin move either.

sometime i really have to think about what kind of coaches tomlin hired. kirby should fix this, but i think he likes it.

Spindenhall lives! I don't like it either. He reminds me of Chuck Foreman a back from the Vikes back in the 70s/80s. The move gains minimal extra yardage but opens him up for fumbling or injury. Give it up Rashard.

I can live with an occasional elusive spin in the open field against a single defender but Mendy's spin in a pile of defenders just looks like he is afraid of impact. IMO

He looked really tentative/slow to the hole at times last night.

i agree, but for some reason people call him a power back. for a #1 pick i have yet to be impressed.

it's fine when he uses it to his advantage and can avoid a tackle, but after you have done it all game long it doesn't fool anyone.

That's funny!!! He should watch Redman and follow his lead. Head north the rush is on!!!

Didn't Redman kinda spin his way to that touchdown? He went over the goaline on his back. Was that Redman or Vincent?

Yeah. Reman seems to like the spin move also.

And Redman also had two spins on his long rush against the Lions.

Yet no one complains about him. :noidea:

The only reason I don't like Mendenhall spinning is because the ball does not seem to be secure when he does this. I guess I just worry about the fumbling.

I love the spin move. I hope Kirby teaches it to all the RB's

Actually he spun twice. But the difference is it actually helped him gain yards and got him in the EZ.
